Kelsey Mitchell wins gold for Canada in womens track cycling sprint
Kelsey Mitchell has won another gold medal for Canada after finishing first in the womenâs sprint finals in track cycling.
Mitchell, 27, nabbed Canada its 24th medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics â" the most won at a non-boycotted Summer Olympics. The first place finish also marks Canadaâs seventh gold medal overall in Tokyo.

Coming from Sherwood, Park., Alta., Mitchellâs win also marks the Canadaâs final medal in the Olympics.
Mitchell previously won sprint gold at the 2019 Pan American Games, and set a world record in the womenâs flying 200-metre sprint during the Pan American track cycling championship that same year.
